I went to Ireland monday 28/5. The weather was very nice, pretty hot just as in sweden. It was hard to find in Dublin at the beginning, but when I learn where the O connor bridge where it were no problem. It wandered around alot before that. I got to see much of Dublin which was nice. I found some witchstores, they were very lame. It was nothing for witches more then a few stones, tarot decks and a wand to find deers with in hunting. The new age christian angel stores in Malmo and sweden has more pagan stuff lol. Well it can be very different in different countries. i suppose the most witches in ireland buy there stuff in UK or US online. Since they have much statues of saints a little everywhere and even som sayings of Jesus here and there, i felt a bit akward of wearing my pentagrams so visuable in my ears, around my neck, and on my finger. But I kept wearing them, i usually do that. No one said or acted strange in anyway more then I guy I bought a veggie burger in a tiny restaurants from he crossed himself at the sight of my pentagram. That left me with an odd feeling, i didnt go into that restaurant anymore for some odd reason. I thought about doing it, the burgers where cheap there.
On the afternoon I went to Kildare. The had no other occult shop then some that had angelic´and some newage stuff, but it was very sweet. I found the wells outside Kildare. It was very beautiful there at St Bridgets well. I meditated there, it was so peaceful there. An old couple noticed me sitting there and asked me if I wanted a ride back into kildare, I thanked for the offer but said i wanted to see the other well for the Goddess also called Holy well. They said they could drive me there it could be hard to find it. That was very nice, so I sat at the holy well as well and meditated felt the energies of the Goddess. That was great, the nice couple had gone to the japanese garden nearby and wandered if i wanted a ride back, accepted. I offered to pay for the gas but they didnt want it.
On tuesday I went on the tour to Connemara, The tourbus went to Galway, Where we met the guide who takes on the walk at the Connemara. It was over an hour drive from Connemara then we should walk for 2 hours, It was very hilly and rocky, I have never been to such a place before, never been walking in such enviroment either so it was hard to walk there. The guide Shane was very kind and helped me where it was hard for me to be walking even with a walking stick, it was so steem, my legs didnt wanna obey, i froze of panic. I felt awful, I would probably started to cry if Shane hadnt been so kind and encouraging. Some of the other tourists were pissed at me for slowing them down. I couldnt help it, I did my best, I had never walked in such enviroments before. I did enjoy the view, the nature very much, in my mind I prayed to the Goddesses, repeated a small chant from the celtic goddess rosary. Just so the others trip wouldnt be ruined I offered to go back wait at the car, but the guide refused that, which I am glad for. Cause it was great to be walking there even if my legs hurts. We went to some place where St Patrick had come and preached in ireland at first. There were a statue of him, a small altar as well as stones to symbolize the stages of the cross. That was a bit annoying to listen to. I asked for information about The Old Gods, The Goddess, Shane didnt know about it, but seemed curious about that I was a witch and was in Ireland to see the ancient celtic places. Connemara definately felt like Our Lady place.
Her energy was strong there. After that first walk we had lunch then we took another walk to somewhere called diampnd hill. It was easier to walk there. And wow that view. I will show you pictures on facebook. It was amazing. My psyche/mental state got a bit savaged by that I was in such bad shape that it was harder for me to walk there then the other older people there.
On the wednesday it was time to go to the Cliffs of Moher. The bus went at 7 am as the day before and a guide picked us up at the Galway. First we got a sight seeing in the town of Galway, that was very nice and interesting. Then we got a crazy funny guide called Ray that took us to The Cliffs of Moher. On the way he told all kinds of funny stuff pointed out places that was more related to the little people, the ancient celts and such. That was very nice. I took a picture of the Leprachun mountin as well as of some other interesting places like some faery cathedral, faery houses, some stone altar at Burren, Many picture was taken from the inside of the bus, cause there werent time to stop at every place that were interesting. We stopped at a place where they sold aran sweathers and most of them cost around 62- 97 euros, Then I found a beautiful one that was for 39 euros. I was a bit suspicious first was this really an aran sweather, why was this so much cheaper then the others etc. The sales lady said it was a real one, just made from from different persons. So what should i do? Should I take it or not? Or should I buy one of those more expensive. What if I would see more to that price? It may have been wrong of me, but I took the sweather, not in any other place did see aran sweathers to below the pice of 73 euros. They had some of the best candy fudge I have ever tasten there. After this we went on lunch and then after that to Cliffs of Moher. It was great to be walking there, and yes my legs hurted very much after the other day but It was worth it. I was in a nice more funny group as well. The Cliffs of Moher was very beautiful. After that we went back to Galway, then to Dublin.
On thursday I took the train to Killarny in the south of Ireland. it was very expensive. The wheather wasnt good this day, the other three days had been sunny. It was much rain and mist this day, there were some mysterious light around the Ring of Kerry. The tour guide drove us around the ring of Kerry, stopped here and there to let us takes pictures, which we did. As the day before many pictures are taken inside from the bus. It was very interesting to listen to when the guide told us about the places, some ancient celtic history, there were a place were they did still do rituals these days, we saw some statue of the Horned God with and Deers head. That made the serveral in the buss laugh mockingly. That was annoying, just it was annoying that some idiots kept talking so loud behind me that it was hard to enjoy the tour every now and then. At times I got furious that I had trouble to not hit or yell to them to be quiet. I did enjoy the tour and the view of all the places. It was amazingly beautiful. We got late cause some dumb people forgotten to the time at lunch and we had to wait for them. So ignorant, that meant we got less time at the Ladys view at the Lakes of Kerry. I was pretty happy that this was my last day of tour with others. Dont take it wrong, I have seen wonderful places, walked there, places where one only see in art, or cards other wise. Atleast it was for me like that. It is just that I dont have much patience and tolerance for annoying and stupid people. Three days in row on tourbuses are much for anyone I think, cause it is much stress, tight time scheduele so one can see as many places as possible. But it that leaves no time for refection, meditating feeling the energies, taking it easy. I choose to do it, I dont think I really knew what I had gotten myself into, lol. But i have no regrets more than that I should have taken more days in Ireland, stayed in the nature somewhere perhaps taken the biking around the ring of Kerry I doubt I would have made it through. Ireland has one of the worlds most beautiful nature and landscapes I think. I enjoyed it.
